England Edge India by 22 Runs in Lord's Thriller
Ravindra Jadeja's unbeaten 61 went in vain as England edged India by 22 runs on the final day of a gripping third Test at Lord's, taking a 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
Chasing 193, India resumed needing 135 runs with six wickets in hand. But England struck four times before lunch, removing KL Rahul (39), Rishabh Pant (9), Washington Sundar (0), and Nitish Reddy (13) to seize control.
Jofra Archer (3/55) and Ben Stokes (3/48) were instrumental - Archer bowled a peach to dismiss Pant and grabbed a reflex return catch to send back Sundar, while Stokes struck with the key wicket of Rahul via a successful review.
Jadeja fought alone after lunch, dragging India from 112/8 to 170, but with no support left, he watched helplessly as Shoaib Bashir bowled Mohammed Siraj to seal a dramatic win for England after tea.
