West Indies cricket legend Sir Vivian Richards has been honored with the Order of the Caribbean Neighborhood (CARICOM) and obtained the distinguished award on the forty third Convention of Heads of Authorities in Suriname. The information has been formally introduced by Cricket West Indies (CWI) on their social media handles.

He used his God-given skills, his psychological and bodily readiness, and his cricket bat, to convey glory to West Indians all world wide”, the CWI President added.
In an illustrious worldwide profession that lasted for nearly twenty years, Sir Viv represented the West Indies in 121 Exams and 187 One Day Internationals between 1974 and 1991 scoring 8540 runs within the longest format and 6721 runs in ODIs. The 2-time world champion registered 24 Check centuries and 11 of them in One Day cricket.
